There are many different reasons why people become overweight.
It is not as simple as saying that overweight people just eat too much because there can be any number of psychological reasons that make people want to eat more.
Emotional triggers such as stress, sadness, depression and so on can all make a person want to eat more food. This is due to the fact that there are certain chemicals in the brain that are linked to both mood and hunger.
Many people associate eating with various different emotions and for this reason they choose to eat more food to make themselves feel better, or happier, or more comforted.
If you feel that this is the reason for your weight problem then it is probably better to get those issues resolved first by seeing a specialist rather than trying to attack the food problem first.
For a lot of people it is habit to over eat and behavioral modification will be the key to weight loss success in these cases.
One of the easiest ways to change your eating behavior is to eliminate any temptations. This is best done at the supermarket by not actually buying foods that are going to cause you a problem.
By not having these low value foods in the house you won’t be tempted to eat them because they won’t be there and this will encourage you to eat better foods and in doing so change your behavior patterns.
This process is made considerably easier if all members of the household will help towards achieving the goal of better eating.
If you do the shopping then you will be able to determine what food is purchased and this will help to make your weight loss easier, and in doing so it will help the nutrition of all members of the household.

1- Dietary Changes & Exercise
It’s true. The only thing that you have to do is change your diet and exercise.
It is that simple. You can stop reading now, that is everything that you have
to know.
2- Change Your Lifestyle.
If you go on a diet then you will gain all that weight back and then some.
Diets do not work. The key here is to change your lifestyle. When you change
your habits you put yourself in the positiion for long term success and maintenance.
3- Identify Your Exercise.
You might enjoy walking, so go for walks. If you like jogging, jog.
Find the exercise that you like the best and do it on a regular basis.
4- Set Realistic Goals.
Losing 2 pounds a week is healthier and realistic. This will create long
term success.
5- Avoid Trans Fats & High Fructose Corn Syrup.
There are two things going on here. One, is these are not good
for you. The second is that you will be eliminating a lot of bad foods
right off the bat.
6- Identify Your Ideal Weight.
Do a little research and find out what your ideal or target weight should
be. Go online or check with your doctor.
7- Stay Away From Ronald McDonald.
You should avoid fast food at all cost.
8- Maintain Your Priorities.
What is more important? Eating that junk food or attaining your
goal sooner. Stay focused and determined.
9- Your Fork Is Not A Shovel.
Slow down and chew your food. Your brain
does not know that it is full for 20 minutes.
10- Fiber Is Good.
High fiber food will help you to lose weight. It will also clean
out your intestines.
11- Train Wrecks Happen.
Let’s face it - one day you’re going to blow. Go out with some
friends and eat something you shouldn’t and overeat at the same
time. Don’t beat yourself up. Life doesn’t happen in a straight
line. The next day just put yourself on the right track.
12- Sugar Substitutes Are Evil.
The chemically adjusted products are bad for your weight and your
health. If in doubt, do a search for “artificial sweeteners” on the web.

3 Ways To Successful Weight Loss
By Kathryn Soloff
Are you overweight. Do you experience frustration. Is
your conclusion that there really is no solution to lose weight. Well, don’t be discouraged. There is a solution for every type of problem and that includes weight loss.
The real secret to this is that your success depends entirely on you. It comes down to how willing you are to commit yourself to this problem. Your determination alone is going to be the deciding
factor in just how successful your weight loss efforts will be.
Truthfully, not all weight solutions will be appropriate for you. There are some diet solutions that will have bad effects on your health. Obviously, you should stay away from these solutions.
The facts are as follows. You simply cannot expect to lose those unwanted pounds overnight. Becoming fat does not happen in a vacuum. Nor does it happen overnight. Just as you gained that extra weight over time, you can only lose it after a considerable amount of time and effort.
It is very important to lose that extra weight. Yes, having that extra weight does cause unnecessary health risks. Of course, you want to look and feel better. Plain and simple, losing those unwanted pounds is a
quality of life issue. Losing that extra weight will have a profound impact on every aspect of your life.
Here are a few things to keep in mind.
1- Home cooked meals are one of the best ways to lose weight. It’s just common sense. When prepare correctly, home cooked meals contain less fat and better quality nutrition. Because of this, you will be doing yourself more good than harm.
It is important to include whole grains, vegetables, beans and fruit. Ideally, your food should be fresh as opposed to canned or frozen.
2- You should avoid fast food restaurants at all costs. These foods are highly processed and will only contribute to your weight and harm your health.
3- You should not rely on weight loss pills to lose weight. The only real way to lose weight is to eat a healthy diet and combine it will regular exercise.
Natural weight loss supplement can be helpful. They can help kick start a weight loss program. They should be used in conjunction with a good diet and a daily exercise program.
When you choose a natural weight loss supplement, pick something that is 100% natural, safe and effective. Chinese herbs have proven to be very effective in weight loss programs.
Slow and steady wins the race. If you change your diet and exercise regularly, losing one to two pounds per week is ideal. This may not appear to be much, but it is both a realistic and healthy approach. Before you know it you will arrive at your target weight. Along with that accomplishment, you will look and feel better.

This little piggy went to market…
Actually, she went to McDonald’s and had a Big Mac with french fries and
a diet Coke.
Then she went shopping at the mall and stopped to have some ice cream
at Baskin Robbins.
This particular pig was 30 pounds overweight, had high cholesterol and
was, at times, depressed because she was no longer at her ideal weight.
This little pig stayed home…
And all she did all day was eat processed and refined food.
For some reason she couldn’t figure out how she had gained all that fat
on her waist, arms and thighs.
This little piggy had roast beef…
But did not eat whole grains, fresh vegetables or fruit. A physical exam will
reveal that she has a threatening heart condition.
This little piggy had none…
This one actually has a very high powered career and has no weight problem
at all. However, she often eats on the run, and consumes mostly a high
protein, low carbohydryte diet.
She is neurotic and high strung and for the life of her cannot figure out why
she is so unhappy.
And this little piggy went wee, wee, wee…
This little piggy actually had a revelation and saw the errors of her ways.
She eats a healthy diet, exercises and looks and feels great.
Moral of the story:
Getting fat does not happen in a vacuum. How we look and how we feel is
determined by what we eat and what we do.
How do you look and feel? And what are you going to do about it?

Anyone who has ever gone on a diet can tell you how difficult it is to
lose weight. To complicate matters, a great deal of the time it is almost
impossible to keep it off.
It is not unfair to compare losing weight with giving up smoking. The
person who has been overweight for some time has acquired both bad eating habits
and a lifestyle not conducive to maintaining a healthy weight.
Just like smoking, over eating and eating the wrong types of food are habits
that are very difficult to break.
It is no wonder why so many people spend a great deal of their time trying
various weight loss programs and weight loss supplements.
Just like the person that is trying to give up smoking, someone that is trying
to lose weight will fare much better if they concentrate all their will and
establish a solid, unyielding goal.
It has to be, as least for the time being, the most important thing in their
life.
Once you determine what approach to weight loss you will take, it will be that
much easier to follow through if you made up your mind first. There can be
no doubt that there will be obstacles and temptations along the way. The only
way to overcome these is to have established a clear path before you begin.
Did you know that an airplane flying from New York to San Francisco is off course
over 95 percent of the time? That plane is always making slight corrections to
stay on course. The reason that it reaches its final destination is that a/ it knew
where it was going and b/ it had a plan on how to get there.
The very same thing is true when you decide to embark on a weight loss program.
First, you set your destination (your target weight).
Second, you figure out a plan in how to lose that weight.
Once you create your individual weight loss regimen, you make up your mind that
you will continue with this program until you arrive at your goal.
If you did your research correctly, you created a daily plan that you can more or
less live with for the rest of your life.
This way, the weight will stay off and your health will improve.
Keep in mind that this is not as difficult as it may appear. At various times in
our lives we have made up our minds about accomplishing various goals.
This is the same thing. You just have to want it bad enough.
